A brand new place...

Ok so I'm in uni with new people new friends and new places. This also means a whole new gig circuit to get onto. I played my first open mic night last night and it went really well. All my new mates seemed to really like what I was doing and I've got standing orders for copies of the album lol.

Ok got a few more for you to check out now.
Basically the album is done. The two songs that I've put up (Sitting on the Fence and Trapped in Amber) are the two finally finalised finale pieces. There's nothing more to be done to them as with Ignorant Bliss.
There's a few other songs I finished with this recording session and everythings been recorded its basically just sorting out the start of songs and endings also a few vocal mishaps to be taken out I['ve got them all on CD and am willing to send them to people but I won't put them up just yet and make myself sound like a fool.

Check them out they're under 'All Dressed up' section the two at the top. Or don't its entirely upto you.

Whooo first song from the new album is up. This one's up early because I may have to send it to uni to get on a music course-unsure yet.

It's called Ignorant Bliss and it's been the toughest track on the album simply cos everything took so long if you listen to the harmonies on the end you'll understand why, and there's still mishaps in it.

It's been a bad day. Didn't get into university. My grades were too poor

I'm goin through a clearing process and hopefully I can get into the uni that I had my heart set on.

It's my mates birthday and I've got work at 7 in the morning I gotta get up at six which means I can't stay out and celebrate it How fucking shit is the world.

Recording: Day 5

Done backing vocals today and all the little percussion bits to three songs. Basically just wrapping everything up on the playing side. Production will take sometime.

I'm really excited now about the songs on this album, a song called Ignorant Bliss has really turned into a song, and some of the things we've done to the song Amy has really shown a sign of maturity-even if I do say so myself.

Gonna take a break for about a week now I think. Let the songs go through bits of much needed production and then get back to finishing off a few of the acoustic songs and adding vital bits to the main songs.

Recording: Day 4

Of the reacks that I've recorded so far I've done most of the vocals to them now. The only song that hasn't been vocalised is a song called Awful Waitress which most of you shouldn't have heard before.

I had serious problems with Unpublished Novels it's an incredibly hard song to sing due to the key its in for me. I should have changed it but everything was already recorded so I had to struggle on. I eventually got it done after a few glasses of whiskey... to loosen up my vocal chords honest.

The quieter songs with just guitar and vocals or piano and vocals are still to be done but they shouldn't take that long to initially record. Then its just finalising everything

Recording: Day 3

Just got back from doing all the acoustic lines and had to re-do one or two bass lines either cos they sucked or were out of tune (I'm so unprofessional). Tomorrow is gonna be lead guitar and if we have enough time vocals!!

It'll probably take about a week or so to finalise adding extra bits, mixing down etc etc you know the score but when i get it sorted I'll put a few sneak previews up here.

Recording: Day 2.

Got all bass parts done today. Was hopin to lay a few acoustic tracks as well but it's hard for time as me and my mate are working so we only really had three hours today and same tomorrow. But it's goin good.

Drums and bass done on about 7 songs I think it is they haven't been fully mixed down etc but it's goin ok Hoping I can get the acoustic and maybe some lead tracks done on those songs and then I'll do the songs with just acoustic and vocals a bit later.

Whooo!!! First day of recording the album completed.

Recorded the drum tracks for all the songs today, splished and spliced them together to make them sound sexy... well sort of they haven't all been mixed down yet for obvious reasons and the samples aren't done yet but it was a good day. I can't believe we got all the songs done on drums but things are going good.

Just got bvack from Starbucks I had one of those iced cappucino things... they aint bad.

More updates tomorrow after more recording.

Ok confusion in the ranks. I am back with Black Man's Pinch. The lead singer has admitted fault and now am back with them but plans will also stay focused upon one's self so dont rush off to bbuy black man's pinch cd's when mine will still be here very shortly.

Thats a promise not like the other times.
